Reviews of Pam Coulter Blehert's work
I don't think I've ever had a review of my work, but I'm ever hopeful.
One reviewer of Deanotations referred to my drawings as "thurber-like".
Thurber-like? How flattering. I'd never thought of my drawings as
Thurber-like. Although usually, they are sort of casual.
I have had lots of nice comments from fans and friends, and interesting
things have happened. So I'm going to try to keep up with some of
the events here.
August, 1999, received Honorable Mention for my painting, "Rock
Creek in Winter", oil in the annual League of Reston Artists show
at the National Center of the US Geological Survey. I'll put an
image on the site when I get a photo of the painting.
August, 1999, I was accepted in the Bethesda Row Arts Festival,
to take place October 16-17, 1999 in Bethesda, MD.
The "Great
Gold Pan Gala " is the story of how a small town in Alaska contacted
me in the Spring of 1999 with an unusual proposal.
