We are always looking for people interested in joining our organization.

How Can You Join?

To join, bring 20 copies of a poem three times to our monthly meetings (you do not have to attend consecutive meetings.) At the third meeting, we will decide if there is a mutual fit. That is, you will decide if you are interested in joining the Federal Poets. We will vote on acceptance. A negative vote is very rare.

Who Can Join?

Any poet in the DC metro area is eligible to join. You do not have to be a DC resident or employed by the Federal Government to be a member. This organization is simply the equivalent of any state organization.

Benefits of Joining

Members pay $20 membership dues per year and participate in critiquing sessions monthly, submit poems for inclusion in the bi-annual The Federal Poet and participate in other group activities, such as joining a group of poets at dinner after a meeting, readings in the community, and the like.
