Farmyard in Winter (2001) harkens back to "The Red Truck." A Virginia winter painting, it presents water as snow in all its sloppy splendor. You may notice that the color palette in the Virginia paintings is considerably more muted than in the Caribbean paintings. Believe it or not, I started with the same colors on my palette. The colors in these regions are quite different.
