Fishingboats Unloading

I was busy "unlearning" some of the academic teaching from my college days. In Fishingboats Unloading (1966) I left the white of the canvas because it felt "right." In this painting, As I sat on the dock, painting, fishermen gathered around me (not knowing that I could speak Greek) and exclaimed "what is she painting?" "don't you see, it's the boats." "It is?" (I smiled to myself.)
