The painting of Philpott Reservoir, in Fairy Stone Park (1976), painted in the same brief period as "Late September", fascinated me because of the water, the way it reflected the trees overhanging it and was always in motion. Philpott reservoir adjoins the lake in Fairy Stone Park.
