Frozen Beaver Pond

This was the wetlands behind my house in winter, during the time the beavers moved in and dammed up the wash of water to create a pond and before Fairfax County "traded" this wetland so that they could push through a 4 lane "parkway". I didn't know they could do that. Neither did the beavers, who quietly and mysteriously disappeared. Anyway, we had years of pleasure watching, seeing an occasional beaver, walking GI (our dog) before Progress took over.
